It’s surreal how quickly a year goes by. What’s the saying…’the days are long but the years are short ‘. Breathing in the cool air. Listening to the early birds. Watching the rain fall. Day 1 of 365. There's been so much change within the last year.
My family grew by 3 people (including a big puppy🐶), my business continues to grow 📸, I am personally growing more and more from the inside out. 🔥
I love to learn new things but I love to learn how to improve the things I am already into, such as: Photography, gardening, strengthening my relationship with God, studying scripture, writing, reading, and literally falling in love with movement for the long run @briana_b.fit 👈
I absolutely love going to Farmer's Markets, visiting farms whether it's to see animals, pick flowers or for photo shoots.
I hope to do some kayaking or SUP this summer!

Harvest my garden (the first strawberry was picked today🍓)

Every year I try to measure pain by time. You hear that time heals all wounds. Now that it’s been some time, this isn’t necessarily true. The pain isn’t just gone. What does happen, is it morphs. You learn to deal with it differently and just be ok with living with it. What is true (for me) is that love is more of an equivalent of the pain. The sadness of the things that won’t be, that we so badly wish…the yearning. It’s because of the unconditional love that reminds me you were real. You were here. You will always be with me even if it’s not the way I’d always like. All of the pain is worth it because I got to feel this measure of love in this life time and that part is a gift and a blessing. It’s been awhile. I feel like it’s always been awhile - cuzzzz - I don’t like to be in front of the camera but this year I gave myself a pep talk and we decided that it’s time to change that.

I’ve already started by just remembering to ask someone close by if they can take a photo for me, either of me or me with my company.

Hi 👋🏽 if this is the first time you’re stopping by. My name is Julia. My clientele has grown over this past year so I wanted to share a couple things about myself so you can get to know me better.

1. My FAVORITE food is spaghetti 😂 I know, not the fanciest. BUT I have celiac disease and can’t have wheat, thank goodness these days the gluten free options have expanded and I can get gf pasta. I usually make mine with sausage instead of meatballs 🤤
I guess #1 was technically two pieces of info 😆

2. I love James Taylor (hence the shirt). I went to see him with my friend @mkaymonte this year and boy oh boy, he did not disappoint. It was fun to go with someone who loved him too but had never gotten the chance so for Mother’s Day we were gifted tickets to see him together 🎶

3. I’m a photographer. Ok ok, like duh! But over the years I have done so many different kinds of photography and worked for different studios and different people. It only took 22 years to realize how much I LOVE working with children and I found a passion for bereavement photography. I still absolutely love doing photography as a whole since it’s a passion but when I get to participate in said shoots. It feeds my soul 📸 🖤

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to my photography business website. I am excited to have one main place to showcase my work and make it easy for you to find what services you are looking for. Here, you will find: descriptions of services, starting prices, how to contact me and how the donation based funeral portion of my business works.

My name is Julia Frances Santos, I go by many different nicknames that family and friends call me. Babe, Ju, Jul, Juls, JuJuBee, JuBa, Titter and of course LaRu.

I found my passion for photography over 20 years ago when I took a black and white, film developing class in high school. I was only 15. Over the years I have practiced and played in different types of photography spaces, such as natural light, night, indoor studio and outdoor. I worked for multiple studios and have done every type of shoot you can think of. Fashion, maternity, newborn, kids, cake smashes, family, product, action, sports, seniors, generational, parties, weddings, pets, birthing, boudoir, scenery landscapes, funerals, travel, real estate (the list goes on).

Over time, I found that, although I can do all of these, I absolutely love working with children. Photographing real estate and found a deep passion for anything hospice, end of life and funeral services. I'm not sure that I have a 'style' because I believe that each type of shoot has a different purpose and tells a different story.

I have done some traveling and gained experiences in Germany, The Netherlands, Colorado, Oregon, Nevada, Florida, Idaho, Texas, Mexico, Hawaii, Tennessee and Arizona. I hope to continue to see new places, bringing my camera along for the ride, and capture more of the world through my lense.

Thank you for all of the love and support from family, friends, and clients that have been with me, no matter what stage of my journey. As an artist, there is no ceiling, I will continue to grow and learn and because it is a passion, I feel blessed to do this as my job."
